IDENTITY COACHING & LEADERSHIP
A psychological exploration of how identity shapes perception, patterns, relationships and the possibilities we create.
21st & 22nd February 2026
Online
Leadership is our presence in teams and spaces, expressed through how we meet ourselves, make choices, relate to others and take responsibility for what we create together. Across these three days, explore self-leadership through the science of neurolinguistics and Gestalt psychology. To then examine how identity shapes behavior, relationships, and contribution. Develop consciousness of your inner processes, strategies, strengthen empathy and psychological safety. Cultivate ways of working that invite belonging, ownership, growth and meaningful contribution. Leadership becomes a practice of presence, choice, relationship, and action in everyday work.

Leadership

This three-day workshop looks at the core of leadership. It explores the psychological processes and micro-skills through which trust and belonging show up in everyday interactions. Examine the identity matrix and how who we are influences capability, conflict, possibility, relationships, and the spaces we create. Build awareness of these patterns. Create shifts that support growth. Develop relationships and spaces that foster contribution, connection, safety, and ownership. Explore what changes when we bring greater awareness to the way we lead ourselves and relate to others.
Begin with the curiosity of what makes the project, designation, conflict or goal important to you? What happens when it changes or resolves? Explore what you bring into the spaces you work in, and what these experiences may reveal about identity, ego, values, and shadow. Examine equity, diversity, relationships, and contribution through this deeper awareness.
Then we explore the desired state. We examine the gap between what we say, want and chase. What we hold internally and serve implicitly. Explore the hurt, longing, and validation beneath our choices. Understand the moments when we question our enoughness, and how avoidance and overcompensation shape the ways we meet ourselves, others, and the world.

A good leader can engage in a debate frankly and thoroughly, knowing that at the end he and the other side must be closer, and thus emerge stronger
- Nelson Mandela
Leadership is often understood through roles, responsibilities, authority, and outcomes. This workshop approaches leadership as something we practise through everyday choices, interactions, and responses. Over three days, explore leadership through Identity Coaching, conscious leadership, diversity, and inclusion. Examine the personal meanings we attach to responsibility, success, conflict, belonging, and contribution. Develop greater awareness of the assumptions, values, and inner processes that influence how we participate in teams, respond to difference, navigate complexity, and create conditions for people to contribute with greater ownership and trust.

DETAILED SYLLABUS
Leadership through Identity Coaching by Judith DeLozier:
Of all the leadership there is, self-leadership may be the most difficult, because sooner or later the leader must meet the person who is doing the leading. Who am I? How did I get to be this way? How did these particular strategies become mine? The need to control, to please, to be right, to withdraw, to rescue, to lead only when something has gone wrong. And if I can see these patterns, then what else can I see? Is there a choice? This three-day programme explores leadership at the level of identity and role, asking what it means to lead in service of the ego or in service of something deeper. For coaches and leaders, it develops the capacity to lead, to coach, to listen, to have empathy and to hold space for another to become.
When "I stand" becomes "I stand because you are with me."
Every workplace has a manager who protects you, backs you, makes hard rooms feel safer just by being in them. This lecture asks a question most leadership talks skip: what happens to a person's voice when that safety always comes from someone who also rates their performance. Drawing on Winnicott, Bion, and Edmondson, it examines how good managerial care can quietly reshape agency, turning "I stand" into "I stand because you're with me."
If you lead people, or are a coach, or design interventions/practices or are just curious about leadership nuances, this changes how you read loyalty, silence, and gratitude at work. Not a case against kind leadership. A case for seeing what kindness, backed by power, actually costs.

Leadership In Context
This workshop is for coaches, practitioners, corporate trainers, facilitators, leaders, entrepreneurs, and practitioners working with people, teams, and organizations. It is for those stepping into leadership, coaching, or greater responsibility, and those working within family-run businesses, leadership teams, and professional environments. It is particularly relevant when work involves identity, relationships, communication, conflict, decision-making, performance, transition, or succession. The workshop is for anyone who wants to examine how personal identity influences professional roles, how we relate to others, and how we create spaces for contribution, responsibility, and growth.
“We practice responsibility for that realm of life allotted and entrusted to us for which we are able to respond.”
